World's Youngest CEO ..

A Real Inspiration ….

Suhas Gopinath from Kannada born on November 4, 1986 is an Indian entrepreneur. He is the founder, CEO, and Chairman of Globals Inc, an IT multinational company.

Suhas Gopinath launched his new website called CoolHindustan.com at the age of 14 and registered a company called Global Inc in US, Which resulted in making him youngest CEO.

When he was at the age of 14 he wanted to learn about Technology, hence he approached nearby internet café (Bengaluru) and he was offered a part time job but no salary with unlimited internet access.

This how he started learning web designing and learnt how to create e-commerce portals by himself.

So what are the tricks he used to get more customers (Initially)?

Well, he used to send anonymous e-mails to company’s which does not have a website stating that he wants to buy their product and if they have website to check the products...Eventually the answer would be no .. ;)

After 1 week he would be sending e-mails to that company offering them building website for their product. This resulted in more customers.

He also learnt that most of the companies are targeting North America and not Europe; hence he shifted his focus to Europe.

He offered internship to Europe students who in turn will bring customer for him also they will translate in European language.

His childhood life:

He comes from a normal middle class family. His father was working in air force in Bangalore; hence he studied in Air force school.

When he was at the age of 14 he wanted to learn about Technology, but there was not enough money hence he approached nearby internet café (Bengaluru) and he was offered a part time job but no salary with unlimited internet access.

This resulted in making him the youngest CEO of the world!

He bought his first computer during his junior school (9th grade or Standard), he also got offer s from US Companies but he rejected those offers.

Today Global Inc is located worldwide and more than million a dollar Enterprise.

Inspiration:

Bill gates his real inspiration, he learnt about Gates and how he started Microsoft when he was working in internet café..  Infact he proudly says that his company should be as success and as big as Microsoft.

Here is the video which was telecasted by CBS news

Interesting Facts:

·         Since he was just 14 when he started the company he was not able to sign most of the agreements, because of that he lost some of his customers.

Here is one of the interesting conversations which he had with Bill Gates

I had opportunity to meet Bill Gates when he visited Bangalore, and the first thing that he told me was:

“I need to be afraid of you as you have aspirations to be like me.” I was amazed to find Mr Gates to be very humble, modest and very approachable as a person. I always look up to him as a role model and how he has made Microsoft an unforgettable success story. I want the same for my company Globals Inc.

A message to young entrepreneurs...

Be adventurous in life and be willing to take risks. Take every opportunity to meet new people, operate in new circumstances and get out of your comfort zone. Though I have made many sacrifices to reach this point, the joy of providing employment to hundreds of talented youth has made it a worthwhile journey for me so far.

Achievements as per Wiki:

·         In 2005, Gopinath was the youngest among the 175 recipients of the Karnataka state's Rajyotsava Award.
·         On December 2, 2007, The European Parliament and International Association for Human Values conferred a “Young Achiever Award” on Mr. Gopinath at the European Parliament, Brussels. He was invited to address the European Parliament and businessmen assembled in that parliament.
·         In November 2008 He was invited to represent the World Bank's ICT Leadership Roundtable for adopting ICT in Africa for increasing employ-ability and fostering ICT skills in students from these countries.

My sincere wishes to you Suhas and May god be with you always...
Wish you good luck! And i hope to be like you one day!

     Thanks,

      Sasi
